Felicity had her six month doctors visit yesterday. She has gained about two pounds since her last visit which means she is averaging about a pound a month. Her percentiles have dropped steadily since birth...just like Celeste did. She has gone from the 90th percentile, to the 80th, to the 50th, and now she is in the 30th. I'm hoping the trend reverses soon though with crawling and movement just around the corner I have my doubts. Nonetheless, she is a healthy baby and IS growing. :) I guess our kids are just destined to be small!!!!!
Her weight: 15 lbs. 3.5oz 31%tile
Her height: 25.5 inches 37%tile
Her head circumference: 16 3/4 50%tile
She has met all of the milestones for 6 months except that she "could" be sitting up and she isn't. It still seems like that is going to be a while too. I feel like it is my fault because I don't have a lot of time to sit holding her or propping her in that position so she can practice. She is the third baby afterall. I think I am going to just go into her bedroom one morning and go to pick her up out of her crib and she will be sitting up looking at me!
She had to get the usual three shots at this visit and was already tired going in to them, so she didn't do nearly as well as at her four month check up. She also had the flu shot given to her. This was the only "new" vaccine that she had, and she seems to have reacted a bit more harshly to this vaccine. She has been running a fever around 100.6 and has a swollen hard bump at the shot injection site. I feel so bad for her! She is acting 100% normal though, so for that I am very thankful. I am hoping that by tomorrow morning the fever from the vaccine will be gone!
She doesn't have another appointment now for three months. It is amazing that the doctor visits are already starting to space out. How quickly the time goes by.
